Substitutes - Applicants

SUBSTITUTE APPLICANTS

We appreciate your interest in becoming a substitute for Graham ISD. Substitute qualifications, the application process, and other information is posted below. Qualifications

  1. Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  2. Meet minimum age requirement for teacher certification (18).

NOTE: All substitutes in the Graham Independent School District are required to comply with the fingerprinting requirements of Senate Bill 9 and attend a Substitute Orientation session. The cost for the fingerprinting process is paid by the substitute at the time of fingerprinting.

Substitute Pay Rates
Proposed substitute pay rates for the 2021– 2022 school year:

  • Non-Degreed - $80/day
  • Degreed - $90/day

Substitute Pay Schedule
Payday is the 25th of each month unless it falls on a weekend or holiday, and is then issued the Friday before.

Substitute Orientation

Orientation dates for the 2022-23 school year:

  • Friday – August 19, 2022 
  • Tuesday – September 20, 2022
  • Friday – October 14, 2022
  • Wednesday – November 30, 2022
  • Thursday – February 16, 2023
  • Friday – April 28, 2023 (@ Woodland Elementary, 1219 Cliff Drive)

All orientations are held from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Graham Education Center, 701 Tennessee.  Please RSVP to julie.elrod@grahamisd.com.
