2026 School Bond Election

The Graham ISD Board of Trustees called a $60 million single-proposition bond election for Tuesday, Nov. 3. Information about the election is available on our Bond 2026 Website. The last day to register to vote in the November general election is Monday, Oct. 5. Visit the Texas Voter Registration Website to register or check your voter registration status. Early voting for the Nov. 3 Graham ISD bond election will be Oct. 19-30. Election day voting will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

2027 Trustee Election

Filing for the May 2027 Graham ISD Board of Trustees election begins on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2027, and ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, 2027. Although Graham ISD is closed on Friday, Feb. 12, according to the adopted school calendar, the Administration building will remain open until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 12 to accept candidate applications. The May election will decide two places on the Graham ISD School Board - Place 1 and Place 2. Both seats are for three-year terms beginning in May 2027 and ending in May 2030.     • Last Day to Register to Vote – Monday, Oct. 5, 2026
    • Early Voting - Monday, Oct. 19 through Friday, Oct. 30, 2026
    • Election Day Voting - Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026

  • The May 1, 2027 election will determine Places 1 and 2 on the Graham ISD Board of Trustees.

    Once applications are filed during the application period (Jan. 13-Feb. 12), the candidates’ names will appear below in the appropriate place and in the order in which they file. Once the official drawing for placement on the ballot occurs, candidates will be rearranged and listed in the order in which they will appear on the May 1, 2027 ballot.

  • Voters Re-Elect Graham ISD School Board Incumbents: May 2025

    Three candidates received voter-approval during the May 3 election for Graham ISD School Board. A total of 727 Graham voters cast a ballot in our county for Graham ISD. There were 16 mail-in ballots, 504 votes cast during the early voting period and 207 votes cast on election day. 

    Incumbents Lauren Mahaney, Chris Blanton and Jason D. Smith all won re-election. They will serve three-year terms until May 2028.

    Unofficial results include:

    • Place 3: Lauren Mahaney (388 total votes) defeated challenger Ellen Morris (337 total votes)
    • Place 4: Chris Blanton (597 total votes) ran unopposed.
    • Place 5: Jason D. Smith (616 total votes) ran unopposed.

    The GISD School Board will canvas election results during their regular May 14 meeting. Mahaney, Blanton and Smith will be sworn in on that same night, and the Board will vote to reorganize to determine officer positions for the 2025-2026 school year.
