Texas High School Playoffs
The Texas high school playoffs are an exciting time for your school and community. These times will be remembered for the rest of your life.
Graham ISD would like to do our part in helping make these playoff games or mid-season neutral site contests as memorable as possible by sharing our beautiful facilities and the community of Graham with you.
Graham ISD uses the following facilities for their athletic contests:
Newton Field

- Boys & Girls Soccer
- Boys & Girls Track
Graham High School Gymnasium
- Volleyball
- Boys & Girls Basketball
Steer Baseball Stadium
Lady Blues Softball Stadium (Hogan Field)
Below is the criteria for reserving all Graham ISD Facilities for postseason contests:
- All teams that could play in the matchup must agree to play in Graham. All teams involved should contact Casey Dacus at 254-396-3766 (cell) or casey.dacus@grahamisd.com
- A list of interested schools will be compiled, but there is no priority ranking to that list.
- The Graham Chamber of Commerce will provide a trophy to the winning team of each round regardless of sport.
Upon confirmation of reservation, both teams must complete the Newton Field Facility Use Agreement as soon as possible. Please complete this online form to reserve.

Items of interest regarding Graham ISD Newton Field:

- 3,400 seats available on Home Side (1,100 bench back seats)
- 2,300 seats are available on the Visitor Side
- Playing Surface is Field Turf
- There will be no cash sales at the gate. All tickets will be sold online. Graham ISD will provide each team with a link to share with their fans. If participating teams would like a special code for participants' families to purchase tickets earlier than the general population that can be arranged.

For postseason games, the Graham Chamber of Commerce will provide a trophy to the winning team at no cost to the participating schools for all sports playoff games/series.NET GATE SALES: Net Gate Sales are defined as the total dollar amount of all tickets sold, less a 16% fee payable to the University Interscholastic League (UIL) and cost of game officials.
POSTSEASON FOOTBALL RENTAL FEE:
After deduction of the UIL 16% fee and the cost of game officials, Graham ISD will receive $5,000 of the Net Gate Sales as a rental fee for the use of the stadium and personnel/services. If there is a doubleheader scheduled where the stadium is not cleared out after the first game both games will be required to have the same ticket price. For a single game, each team will receive ½ of the remaining Net Gate Sales after payment of Graham ISD’s rental fee. For a doubleheader each team will receive ¼ of the remaining Net Gate Sales after payment of Graham ISD’s rental fee. There will be a security fee added to the rental fee. This will be billed at the current rate charged by Graham PD. If gate receipts do not cover the rental fee, Graham ISD will invoice the two school ½ of the remaining amount.
VIDEO BOARD: There will be an additional $1000 fee if both teams agree to use the video board. The fee will include live game video and replays. If this option is not chosen there is the regular scoreboard that will be utilized. If there is inclement weather (i.e. Rain, Snow, etc.), the cameras will not be used and there will be no additional charge even if the schools agreed to it.
GAME OFFICIALS: The Home and Visiting Teams will make arrangements for game officials.
VIP BOX: The HOME TEAM will be able to have 8 VIP in the upper Press box. The list should be e-mailed to Casey Dacus at casey.dacus@grahamisd.com prior to game day.
STAFF AND SERVICES: Graham ISD will provide the following personnel / services:

TICKETS: Graham ISD utilizes Home Town Ticketing for tickets sales. All tickets sold for the game will be available online. There will be no cash sales at the game. Each school will be provided with a link for their fans to purchase tickets ahead of time. To help our gate keepers we will not sell tickets at different prices. All tickets will be the same price. Arrangements can be made to allow an early pre-sale for parents, VIPS, etc. Please let Casey Dacus with GISD know and that can be arranged.
PARKING: There is no charge for parking. Tailgating is allowed (See attached map)
GAME PROGRAMS: Game programs may be provided and sold by the Home and Visiting Teams. Home and Visiting Teams should provide a roster for the PA Announcer.
SIDELINE PASSES: Each team can provide their own sideline passes.
CONCESSIONS: Graham ISD will provide Concessions for the game. Graham ISD will keep 100% of concessions revenue.
SECURITY: Security will be provided by Graham Police Department (GPD) but will be billed outside of the stadium rental fee and at a rate that is set by the GPD. Each school may also bring their own security as well.

The Graham High School gymnasium seats 1772 people with 1006 on the home side and 766 on the visitor side. If capacity has not been reached tickets can be purchased online from the GISD website at the gate. There will be no cash sales at the gate. To help our gate keepers all tickets will be the same price.Graham ISD utilizes Game Time music service for all pregame and halftime music to eliminate inappropriate lyrics.
Facility Use: $1500 plus security. If each team does not provide their own security, GISD will provide it at a fee set by the Graham Police Department. Fees will be split between schools. Gates will open one hour prior to the first game. All tickets will be sold online.

The field is Shaw field turf installed by Paragon in the fall of 2023. The grandstand seats 1524 people.
Facility Use: $1500 per game. If each team does not provide their own security then GISD will provide it at a fee set by Graham Police Department. There are indoor batting cages down the left field foul line and open air batting cages down the right field line. There are no cash sales at the gate. To help our gate keepers all tickets will be the same price.
Sunflower seeds and gum are strictly prohibited. A cleaning fee will be assessed if GISD personnel have to clean up the facility beyond normal use. Fans may not use objects to bang on the bleachers as noise makers.
Included in fee: Administrator, Scoreboard, Bookkeeper, Gatekeeper, Custodian, Announcer, Field Prep before and in between games of doubleheader, Trophy (if entire series played in Graham)

Regulations / Parking / Dressing Rooms

- DRESSING ROOMS
- Dressing rooms will open no later than 2 ½ hours prior to game time.
- Graham ISD will NOT provide towels.
- Graham ISD is not responsible for any articles left in the dressing room before, during, or after the game.
- ENTRANCE GATES
- Gates will open 1 hour prior to game time.
- There are no in-and-out privileges; re-entry requires the purchase of a new ticket. This is a Graham ISD rule.
- Newton Field is a tobacco-free facility and tobacco use is prohibited.
- PRESS BOX
- Admittance to the press box is by Press Box Pass only. There is one exception: Coaches wearing proper coaching attire do not need Press Box Passes to enter the press box.
- Press Box Passes that have not previously been acquired from the stadium manager (Casey Dacus) must be picked up at the elevator entrance.
- PLAYING FIELD
- Cheerleaders that are in game uniforms do not need a pass, but any support staff not in uniform must have a Sideline Pass provided by a participating school. Passes should be created by the team or school district playing in the game.
- Tobacco, sunflower seeds, gum, confetti, sports drinks, or shells of any kind is strictly prohibited. Signs are posted on the field and in the stadium.
- Absolutely no glass bottles, cans, or food on the field. This includes cheerleaders and their support groups.
- All equipment such as training tables, fans, and heaters must have a protective base. Please make prior arrangements with the stadium manager.
- No live mascots are allowed.
- No cannons or confetti will be allowed. All large mechanical noisemakers, (i.e., large air horns), must be on your own side and face your spectators.
- Band props must not mark or scar the field. This includes painted items as well as sharp wheels or other equipment that may damage the artificial surface.
- No ice chests will be allowed in the stadium. Exceptions include the competing teams, bands, and drill teams.
- All “run-through” signs must be vinyl or cloth. Additionally, the paint must be permanent so that it does not run when wet. DO NOT use painted paper.
- Any damage caused by failure to follow the above rules will be billed to the school that caused the damage. This includes damage to the facility or use of confetti cannon, etc.
- STADIUM BLEACHERS
- Absolutely no climbing or jumping over rails from the bleachers to the field.
- Absolutely no crossover by spectators from the home side of the stadium to the visitor side of the stadium or vice versa.
- Spirit signs used in the bleachers must be made of vinyl or cloth with permanent ink.
